Desert Themed 2nd Birthday

I recently teamed up with Oriental Trading Co to create a desert themed spread for my sons 2nd Birthday.

Fall leaf place cards

This week I'm getting a jump on making place cards for Thanksgiving! Check it out:

I used brown card stock from Michaels and traced a leaf pattern on my phone. If you do a search on google or Pinterest they're are a lot of free leaf templates to choose from.

I then used a fine tip black marker to free hand the names. (I thicken the down pen strokes to get this look) Poked a hole in the end of the leaf using a safety pin, and used embroidery thread to fasten the leaf to the pumpkin stem. 

Plates are from Home Goods, napkin from West Elm, and the placemat I DIY'd using garden sisal rope from Home Depot and a glue gun!
